Japan’s Waste-to-Hydrogen Technology Gains Attention in the EU
At the international event “Circular Economy Days,” hosted by the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC), BIOTECHWORKS-H2 took the stage at the Poland Pavilion to present its pioneering technology.
The event serves as an official platform organized under the European Union’s initiative to promote global collaboration on the circular economy, bringing together government representatives, corporations, and research institutions from around the world.
BIOTECHWORKS-H2 introduced its “innovative scheme for hydrogen production from waste without incineration,” drawing strong interest as a new energy model that achieves both resource circulation and decarbonization.
During the presentation, CEO Akihide Nishikawa shared the company’s vision of a “Zero Waste Hydrogen Society,” highlighting how waste can be transformed into a valuable energy resource. The presentation received significant attention from EESC members and participants alike.
