Launch of a 1,000-ton-scale Plant Project in Malaysia

BIOTECHWORKS-H2 has entered into a Strategic Collaboration Agreement (SCA) with Malaysia-based renewable energy company HUALANG ENERGY SDN BHD to jointly develop the “Waste-to-Hydrogen” project, which aims to generate clean hydrogen from waste resources.

Under this collaboration, the two companies will begin planning and feasibility studies (F/S) for a 1,000-ton-scale plant in Kedah State, Malaysia.
The project aims to establish a new industrial model in Malaysia that converts waste into renewable energy, contributing to both sustainability and circular economy goals.

HUALANG ENERGY SDN BHD is a leading renewable energy developer engaged in government-linked projects, specializing in solar and biomass power generation and promoting green hydrogen initiatives across Malaysia.

This agreement represents a flexible partnership that prioritizes “taking action first” rather than being constrained by traditional frameworks such as equity investment or joint ventures.
By combining BIOTECHWORKS-H2’s proprietary technology with HUALANG ENERGY’s local network and operational expertise, the partners aim to expand the Waste-to-Hydrogen initiative throughout Malaysia and eventually into the broader Southeast Asian region.
