This agreement covers research and innovation for an integrated Waste-to-Energy (WtE) system based on waste pre-treatment and gasification, techno-economic feasibility studies, and the demonstration of sustainable energy solutions.

The outcomes of this joint research are planned to be utilized as part of a technical proposal to Daya Anagata Nusantara (Danantara), a national investment management agency established by the Indonesian government in 2025. Danantara is responsible for managing state-owned enterprise assets and promoting strategic investments in infrastructure and energy sectors.

BTW-H2 also plans to apply the data and technological validation obtained through this collaboration to its ongoing commercial-scale WtE project with the BOSOWA Group’s KEAH in South Sulawesi. By combining scientific validation from a national research institution with the execution capabilities of private-sector partners, and through alignment with Indonesia’s national investment strategy including Danantara, the initiative aims to accelerate the social implementation of WtE projects.
