Daito Kentaku Begins Collaboration with BIOTECHWORKS-H2 Toward Converting Waste into Hydrogen Energy

BIOTECHWORKS-H2 Inc. has begun a collaboration with Daito Kentaku Co., Ltd. aimed at converting waste into hydrogen energy.

This collaboration was realized through the “CVC and Startup Matching Support Program” promoted by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government. By utilizing Daito Kentaku’s business fields, including its offices and managed properties in Tokyo, the initiative aims to promote the social implementation of BIOTECHWORKS-H2’s waste-to-hydrogen conversion technology.

As the first phase of the project, a demonstration experiment will be conducted at eight Daito Kentaku branches in Tokyo. Daito Kentaku will support the project by providing industrial waste generated from its offices, as well as assisting with collection and transportation. BIOTECHWORKS-H2 will conduct research, composition analysis, and verification of the conversion process into hydrogen energy.

In urban areas, the incineration of mixed waste that is difficult to recycle and the shortage of final disposal sites have become significant social issues. Through this collaboration, the two companies aim to build a practical circular model that enables the resource utilization of waste without relying on incineration, while also promoting the use of hydrogen as a next-generation energy source.

BIOTECHWORKS-H2 will continue to accelerate the social implementation of its Waste-to-Hydrogen model, which addresses both waste management and energy challenges. By working together with companies, local governments, and communities, BIOTECHWORKS-H2 aims to contribute to the realization of a carbon-neutral society.
